The Obama-Britney Connection Gets Deeper!

The Obama campaign is freaking out (they do that a lot, don't they) about the new McCain ad referring to Barack Obama as just another product of the entertainment-media complex (Celeb). It successfully juxtaposes the adulation of Obama by the masses with the candidate's refusal to deal seriously with issues like drilling and energy, which would actually help those masses.

The Obama campaign and his supporters have called the ad "racist", among other things. But I think that the ad is quite effective in portraying Barack Obama as an empty suit, similar in many ways to Hollywood celebrities.

Slate followed up with a great satirical ad response of their own - featuring the individual made famous for his passionate defense of Britney back when she was (as we now know) being used and manipulated by Sam Lufti, and was getting slammed in the press for her very public and sad antics.
